In this tutorial, I'm going to teach you how to transform a girl into cyborg.
Now right click at the layer, select Blending Option. Select the Drop Shadow and make the setting like this.
Step 7. As you can see, the Drop Shadow makes the cutting to look realistic and 3D. Now create a new layer, use the pen tool again and make a thin selection next to it like this.
Right click, Fill path with White.Change opacity to 40-50%.
Drag the white layer below the previous black layer and merge them.
Now it will look like this. Kinda real right?
Step 9. Repeat the process to another parts of the body. Always refer to pictures to help you.
Step 1. Retouch the image according to your satisfaction. Do Colour Balance, Curves, Levels or else.
In my case, I wanted to change the lips color. Make a selection around the lips and use Hue and Saturation to change the color.
Step 2. Now we are going to make the skin to look like porcelain or plastic since most cyborgs or androids have shiny skin. Pick Lasso Tool and make a selection around the skin or the girl.
Then right click, choose Layer via Copy.
Step 3. Click Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap. Spend some minutes experimenting the settings. When you are happy with it, click OK.
Step 4. Right click on the layer, select the blend mode to Soft Light and Opacity about 60-70 %. Now, merge the copied and original layer together. Right click, click Merge Layers
Step 5. Change the color of the eyes, if you don't know how, watch this tutorial.
Step 6. Now, lets make cutting to the body. Select Pen Tool and make selection like this. View some robots pictures as guidance and reference of how the parts look like.
Right click, Fill Path with Black.
